We are currently seeking experienced BULK FOOD VAN DRIVERS for regular and on-call/substitute routes in the Miami Valley Area. This position is accountable for transporting food and food service equipment and supplies and paperwork to the Senior Resource Connection senior dining sites. Shift starts at 7:00am.


1. Transports food and food service equipment to nutrition sites.

Transports food and food service equipment to nutrition sites.
Responsible for accurately compiling and loading the food and supply orders needed for each day.
Ensures pick-up and delivery of appropriate paperwork and supplies to nutrition sites.
Returns food containers from nutrition sites for cleaning and sanitation.
2. Assists with the clean-up of food service equipment and containers.

3. Drivers are responsible for upkeep and cleanliness of vehicles.

Reports and records vehicle breakdowns, malfunctions, accidents or relevant mishaps that occur during route.
Maintains vehicle service and repair logs.
Have vehicles washed, fueled, etc., as needed.
4. Performs other related duties including helping with kitchen tasks and delivery of home delivered meals, as assigned.


KNOWLEDGE OF: Local area street and highways systems; food sanitation and safety.
ABILITY TO: Read and understand a city street map and follow oral and written directions; maintain good working relationships with senior dining site operators, co-workers and supervisors and drives in a pro-active and safe manner.
SKILL IN: Counting, writing, reading and following schedules, directions and maps.


Completion of a standard high school course of study or equivalent with at least one (1) year experience in delivery driving. Must possess a valid Ohio Driver’s License and be able to pass a Motor Vehicle background check and maintain a clear driving record, in order to be insurable under agency liability coverage. Must be 25 years old or older.


Ability to lift from floor to waist up to 70 lbs.; 2 handed carrying of up to 70 lbs. which includes pushing and pulling carts. Take bags down from top racks. Physical actions include standing, walking, climbing, carrying, handling, stooping, twisting, bending, pushing, pulling, sitting, reading and driving a vehicle.
