MEALS ON WHEELS SUPERVISOR

 Senior Resource Connection is seeking an experienced Meals on Wheels Supervisor for a full-time position (37.5 hours per week) in our Nutrition program. ESSENTIAL JOB FUNCTION

This position is accountable for managing all aspects of the Meals-on-Wheels Program ensuring uninterrupted delivery services to all customers in counties served.  This position also ensures that the Meals-on-Wheels drivers are completing their job in an efficient and courteous manner.

RESPONSIBILITIES AND DUTIES

1.       Manages and coordinates the Meals-on-Wheels Program and related activities.

 

2.               Assists in coordinating nutrition site operations and other division operations as needed.

 

 

3.               Advises the Director of Nutrition on issues and concerns regarding all facets of pack-out, packaging, delivery, and customer service.

 

 

4.       Performs other related duties as required for the effective operation of the division.

REQUIRED KNOWLEDGE, SKILLS, AND ABILITIES

KNOWLEDGE OF:  Food service and nutrition programs; program evaluation techniques; training and development and supervision.                   

ABILITY TO:           Communicate effectively in both oral and written form; maintain accurate records and reports; develop and maintain effective working relationships with staff, clients, and the general public; conduct training and education programs; operate computer equipment.   

SKILL IN:                Public speaking and personnel management.

QUALIFICATIONS

Associate Degree in Business, Social Work, Gerontology or other related field.  A minimum of one (1) to three (3) years experience in food/nutrition supervision and/or programs for the elderly.  Previous supervisory experience is preferred.

NOTE:  In lieu of educational requirements, additional experience and training which provide the required knowledge, skills and abilities (beyond the one year minimum requirement) will be considered.  This position requires a valid Ohio driver license, insurability and a registered private vehicle.
