Senior Resource Connection serves nearly 500 Montgomery County residents age 18 and older in need of an independent party to address the handling of their ongoing financial affairs. The program is certified by the Social Security Administration as an authorized representative payee program and works in conjunction with Adult Protective Services to keep this vulnerable population safe.
The program is primarily funded by the ADAMHS Board of Montgomery County and serves adults with a mental health diagnosis. Our representative payee program often times keeps the senior/disabled individual from being homeless by making sure their basic needs, such as housing and food, are being met. Not only do our payees collaborate with case managers and the Social Security Administration to cover necessary daily living expenses, they also work with the client on budgeting techniques and financial education.
