Thanks to grants from the Eleanor and John Kautz Fund and the Frederick and Louis N. Reibold Fund of The Dayton Foundation, Meals on Wheels was able to purchase new insulated food bags. Our old bags were in use for several years and in dire need of replacement due to rips and tears that compromised temperature retention. Our new bags along with heated stone liners will prove much more reliable with regard to heat retention during meal transport from our commercial kitchen to the consumer. About 40 drivers will use the new bags collectively delivering about 1,800 hot meals each day.
