Senior Resource Connection Receives Grants from Local Foundations

Through the generosity of The Dayton Foundation and The Miami County Foundation, Senior Resource Connection’s Meals on Wheels program was able to purchase two new Food Warmers. These are used to keep the food hot straight from our ovens and throughout the delivery process to the homes of our elderly clients. These seniors are already frail and have compromised immune systems so food safety is our top priority. New equipment allows us to keep the food temperatures at the acceptable temperature ensuring our customers are eating a safe and nutritious meal. Senior Resource Connection Meals on Wheels and Congregate programs serve 9 counties and will deliver approximately 800,000 meals in 2017.
